What do beavers do?

All sorts of things!

We are an active colony so we try to do as many different things as possible.  We do activities inside our regular meeting place, go on day visits, and even have occasional sleepovers!

We play games, do crafts, make new friends, explore the outdoors, create things and eventually when the Beavers become 8yrs, they move up to Cubs.

What do Beavers wear?

All Beavers should wear:

  • Group Scarf, required for investiture
  • Beaver Woggle, supplied on investiture
  • Beaver Sweatshirt and Scout Activity Trousers

The Beaver sweatshirt is turquoise blue. The scarve and woggle is used when the Beaver is invested, we do not supply the sweatshirt.

The Group Scarf, Beaver Sweatshirt and Trousers can be purchased from the District Scout Shop which is located within

1st Leighton Buzzards Scout Group, and opens on Saturday mornings from 10:00 - 1200
